Born in Spindale, North Carolina
Graduated from Lafayette High School, Williamsburg, Virginia
Attended: College of William and Mary
American University, Washington, DC.
Universityof Texas, Permian Basin

Instructors include Pam Price, Rick Parra, Ann Templeton,

Alan Flattmann and Christine Debrosky

A. Stein lives and works in Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada.

2010

"Beauty in the Abstract", Chamizal National Memorial, Borderland and Los Paisanos Galleries, September 11th through November 6th. This exhibit celebrates abstract art as created over the last 50 years in El Paso, Texas. It includes work by 20 artists and media include painting, sculpture, photography and printmaking. This is the first abstract art exhibit ever hosted by the National Park System.

El Paso Museum of Art- Artist A. Stein's work "Manifestation: Teeming Atoll" exhibited on the 2nd floor (across from Louise Nevelson's "Black Box"). in cooperation with EPMA's "Artists on Art" program. She also gave a lecture on her unique style and approach to contemporary painting while contrasting it with the work "Twilight" by John Henry Twachtman ca. 1890's.

"Pastel...The Magical Medium," presented for the Pastel Society of El Paso, Thursday, November 11th at 1:00pm at the International Museum of Art. "Stein and Schwein"- Award winning artist A. Stein and Art History faculty member in UTEP's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Florence Schwein have teamed up to create a dynamic power point presentation that traces the use of pastels from the time of Leonardo da Vinci to the present. Pleae join us! Free and open to the public.
