"Manifestation: 8
Minutes of Arc" was chosen as Best of Show at the recent
"Best of the Border" show held at the International Museum of Art
in El Paso. The judge was Bill Rackocy, an esteemed artist who has
lived in El Paso since the early seventies, and been an artist for
over 60 years. More than 80 pieces of art comprise the show, by
over 40 artists, some from as far away as Silver City, NM. The show
will remain up until February 27th. The International Museum of Art
is open to the public Thursday through Sunday from 1-5pm and is
located at 1211 Montana. There is no charge for admission.
"Education by Immersion"
A. Stein attended the Abstract Expressionist New York show held at the Museum of Modern Art, NYC. It included Pollock, Still, Rothko, Kline, Reinhardt, de Kooning and a new found favorite, William Baziotes.
"Beauty in the Abstract"
September 10th through November 6th, 2010 Chamizal National Memorial, Los Paisanos and Borderland Galleries A. Stein was curator for this exhibit which celebrated abstract art as created over the last 50 years in El Paso, Texas. It showcased work by 20 artists and the diverse media shown included painting, sculpture, photography and printmaking. This is the first abstract art exhibit ever hosted by the National Park System.
"Artist on Art"
August 17 thru October 17, 2010 A. Stein will have her work displayed at the El Paso Museum of Art, One Arts Plaza, downtown El Paso. She will be giving a talk on Thursday, August 19th at 5:30PM. This is part of EPMA's Third Thursday programming.
"Pushing Art into the 21st Century: Experience the Next Generation of Action Painters" (A. Stein takes over City Hall!!!)

"Pushing Art into The 21st Century", "People's Gallery",
located in downtown El Paso in City Hall, A. Stein will show her work in all three of the 30' galleries of space provided. This was a juried selection.
